Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment lends the district a creative outlet and unique spot for locals and visitors alike.

Anchoring the district is the Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment--the south's largest privately-owned arts facility. With a focus on visual arts, this historic factory building has been redeveloped into more than 150 working studios for over 200 artists, makers and independent businesses, 7 art galleries, a multi-use theatre, 4 performance venues, restaurants, a foundry, a chocolate shop, and a community garden. Their open door policy allows the public to visit artists and makers during the different stages of their creative process.

Within this thriving creative community are artists and makers from across the world. The Mill serves as a space where they can create, learn, and collaborate. With studio spaces lining the hallways, visitors have the opportunity to openly explore the Mill and artist spaces where they can shop and learn about the artists and their works. In addition to working artists, Lowe Mill is home to several of North Alabama’s premiere entertainment including Concerts on the Dock, the world’s longest running Cigar Box Guitar Festival, and more. This historic arts center provides its community—both in- and outside the Mill—with a space to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in various mediums and forms, a place to fully immerse in an originative environment, ultimately making arts, entertainment, and culture accessible to those who visit this vibrant facility.

In addition to the many ways to play at Lowe Mill, the complex is also home to unique work spaces. As the home to several high-tech companies, Lowe Mill is a great option for companies looking to relocate or expand into innovative spaces. Best of all, even though its a historic mill, Lowe Mill office spaces come with all the latest technology and amenities that company's need to recruit a great workforce and provide the products and services that lead to success.

In-house dining options are numerous with restaurants such as Happy Tummy, Poftà Bunà, Irons Distillery, The Veggie, and the Chef Will the Palate food truck.
